B.P.Koirala Institute of Health Sciences is an autonomous health science university in Nepal. It is located in Dharan city in Sunsari district, close to the sub-metropolis. This university is a cooperation between Nepal and India.

BPSIHS education needs in the Eastern Region of Nepal at secondary, tertiary and primary levels. The institute has 4 colleges: College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Dental Surgery and Community Medicine.

This BPSIHS, also operated a 700 bed teaching hospital and certificate program for undergraduate and graduate students. This institute awards doctorates, masters and various other security degrees. On 10 March 1994 the Mafia program began and in 1999 the specialization courses began.
