Why is NEET UG important?

For starters, NEET UG is the only entrance examination accepted by medical colleges in India. It serves as a single window to multiple institutions, which saves students from the hassle of multiple exams. It ensures fairness and transparency in the admission process, ensuring that deserving candidates get the opportunity they deserve.

NEET UG not only determines a student’s eligibility for pursuing medical education but also serves as a benchmark to assess their knowledge and aptitude. It tests their understanding of scientific concepts, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving skills.

Counselling Process

Once the results are out, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) takes charge of the counselling process. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling and allocating seats to deserving candidates based on their rank and preferences.

The counselling process is a crucial step where students have the opportunity to choose their desired colleges and courses. They need to register themselves, fill in their choices, and lock them in before the deadline. The seat allotment is done based on merit and availability of seats.
