North East Medical College Introduction

North East Medical College, a prestigious private medical college, is located in South Surma Pamila on the southern fringes Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was founded in 1998. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious medical colleges in Bangladesh and the best Medical College in Sylhet.

The College’s chair is Prof. Dr. Mohammed Afzal Miah, with Prof. Shahriar Hossain Chowdhury serving as Principal and Managing Director. This dynamic team includes excellent professors and staff. The College’s MBBS degree has been approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

The South Surma area. NEMC campus was established in 1999. Soon after, a multi-specialty hospital with 800 beds was constructed. MBBS in North East Medical College - Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for MBBS at NEMC, medical students must meet the following requirements:

1. Students applying for the program must be at least 17 years old by 31 July.
2. Students must have attained marks of more than 60% in 10th or 12th grade and a minimum of 7 GPA.
3. The NEET qualification is a requirement for admission.
4. Students with refractory, physical or mental disorders cannot be admitted to the university. Applicants must undergo a gross medical exam.

Duration of MBBS at North East Medical College

The college offers a five year program that has been approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Councils (BMDC) and National Medical Councils (NMC). This program leads to a Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Medicine degree from NEMC After passing the final professional exam, there is an optional year-long internship that you can also do in India.

The NEMC admission process is as follows:

1. Candidates must fill out the application form and attach any required documents.
2. Candidates must submit scans of their high school diplomas or other documents.
3. Selected students will soon be notified by NEMC.
4. Selected students will need to pay tuition for the MBBS program.
