STEP 1: SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS

Please be mindful of the submission deadlines for each program regarding your documents. After you complete the application form, a selection committee will review your application within 2 weeks. If you are accepted for enrollment at NSU, you must have your educational documents legalized.

1. 1. All international students studying in Russia must have their educational documents legalized.
2. 2. Documents issued in member countries of multilateral or bilateral agreements that eliminate the requirement for document legalization are accepted without further legalization.
3. 3. Legalized education documents must be translated into Russian and notarized.

STEP 3: INVITATION

Once we receive the copies of your legalized documents, the International Student Recruitment Office will begin the process of issuing a visa invitation.

STEP 4: APPLYING FOR A RUSSIAN VISA

The University can provide you with a visa invitation in two ways.

Please visit the International Student Support Center (office 3268) for assistance with dormitory check-in, obtaining a campus card, and arranging medical insurance.

STEP 4: RECOGNITION PROCEDURE OF FOREIGN EDUCATION AND (OR) QUALIFICATION

Each year, foreign students have the opportunity to apply for the Russian Government Scholarship, which covers full tuition and provides a monthly living allowance. Please note that travel costs, living expenses, and health insurance are not included. The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis, with selection criteria and procedures, as well as the number of scholarships, varying based on the applicant’s country of origin.

The application process begins in January, and the deadline for submissions varies by country, typically falling between March and June.
