Omsk State Medical University was founded in 1920 as the medical faculty of the Siberian Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Zoology and reorganized in 1921 as the West Siberian State Medical Institute. (OSMU Russia) is the medical school of Russia. The university was renamed OSMU in 1925 and OSMA in 1994.
