Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University Introduction

January 17, 1996 The Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University was established. It was certified by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (July 3rd 1996).

On March 13, 2002, PMSU Humanitarian University was established. It was founded on the Mykolaiv branch of National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy according to the Order No. 112-r of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

December 10, 2008 PMSU in Mykolaiv was reorganized as PMNU, (Petro Mohyla BSSU), according to Order No. 1521r of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The University joined the European University Association and the Great Charter of Universities in 2009. It is the only higher

Education institution that represented Ukraine and its teaching system at the Talleres Network Leaders Conference in 2011 (TNLC), which gathered over 250 universities from around the globe.

The Decree of President Petro Poroshenko granted PMNU BSSU the status of a National University on 14 June 2016.
