Pokhara University Introduction

Pokhara University was established in 1997 under the PU Act. PU as an autonomous and non-profit institution is funded partly by the Government of Nepal and partly by the income of students and affiliated universities. PU follows the semester system. The University has a practice of continuously evaluating student performance and, subject to regulation of credit requirements, allows the student to progress at a pace commensurate with his or her ability and comfort.

PU is located in Lekhnath Municipality, Kaski District, thirteen kilometers east of the heart of Pokhara city.

He has already established his university complex in the serene and picturesque setting of the city of seven lakes, Lekhnath, in the lap of the magnificent Himalayas and peaks like Mount Machhapuchre and Mount Annapurna. Furthermore,

MBBS in Pokhara University - Eligibility Criteria

1. Students must be at least 17 years old.
2. Students must have passed with a total of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also have English as a standard 12 Standard.
3. Students must have a NEET exam Scorecard.

Duration of MBBS at Pokhara University

The duration of the MBBS course at PU is 5 years and 6 months, including 5 years of frontal training and 6 months of compulsory internship.

Pokhara University Admission Process

To be admitted to Pokhara University, you need to go through the following steps:
1. Students who wish to pursue medical studies in Nepal must first apply to the Ministry of Education as only 10% of the places are available.
2. For international students, there is an entrance exam that you have to qualify and then select based on the students’ performance.
