On 19 July 2005 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan established the Tashkent Medical Academy. Faculties such as general medicine, education, and nursing were initially established within the academy, with a total capacity of 4,662 students. The institute trains around 765 doctoral students and 205 doctors.
The Tashkent Medical Academy MBBS program is based on the training of highly qualified professionals in 58 departments through the acquisition of clinical skills.
